I just want to share this to you guys. This is an essay-post I made for Vindicta V2 under the SRSLY thread (please refer to forum links), and it is all about irregular entities (ghosts, ETs, afterlife, etc.). I would like to read some insights from you guys. Thanks.
Here goes.
My view regarding irregular entities would revolve on "existence". In my point of view, one could
not verify the existence of such irregular entities all throughout
without understanding the essence of existence itself. How, and why do
we and everything that could be perceived by humans exist? What is
truth? What is the meaning of such existence?
I have come across
a theory which states that humans and all other living things capable
of perception are "programmed", possibly by another form of existence
from another plane, to perceive things in an orderly fashion. An
underlying question states: "If a tree falls down in a forest and
nobody is there to see it, would one still think that it exists?" Isn't
it possible that everything that humans sense are just products of a
complex system of individual perceptions of each human? Could it be
that irregular entities from another plane/dimension (particularly
ghosts) are just "glitches" wherein only certain individuals could
perceive? Could there be a possibility that other forms of dimensions
exist and that a handful of humans, or even animals, through the help
of the "glitch" in the complex system, are granted the capability to
interact with entities from such dimensions?
An example which
cites this premise is that from a doctrine of the Roman Catholic
Church. The RMC, in support of Thomas Aquinas' "Prime Mover" theory,
explains this in this way: that every moving object must have a mover,
and in order for the mover to move, one must move the mover, which
eventually, the mover of the 1st mover must be moved by a "prime"
force, a force popularly dubbed as "God". Yet who moves the prime
mover? The RMC states that such should not be questioned, but how could
one explain the premise "that every moving object must have a mover,
and that mover must be moved" and so on and so forth? Could it be the
Universe itself is a system of gears that operate such forces? Or that
the Universe is only a gear that forms a much wider complex system of
forces?
Ghosts (and anything deemed supernatural) may have come
from different planes, and in relation to the earlier statement
regarding perception, only a handful of humans may have the ability to
interact with these beings, which could be related to as the "Sixth
sense". There could also be a possibility that the thoughts of such
humans could shape what kind of ethereal being they might perceive,
hence the apparitions of "loved ones" allegedly reported by certain
people.
Afterlife could be simply the switch of one's
perception, or, religiously speaking, a human's "soul" to another
dimension. It could be possible also that afterlife could mean a "new"
life, or reincarnation, may it happen in the future or even in the
past, because each frame in time, according to another theory I came
across previously, could be deemed as a dimension in itself.
Extraterrestrials,
or the so-called "aliens", are beings that are deemed that could exist
in another life-supporting body somewhere in the Universe. Such may
exist on the same plane where humans exist, since direct interaction
could be possible (if not for the lightyears-away distance of every
star and star system).
To wrap things up, existence and its
essence could not be properly verified if one does not undergo the
inevitable: death, or in my earlier explanation, "the switch of one's
perception, or, religiously speaking, a human's "soul" to another
dimension". One must be able to understand the concept and nature of
the alleged existence of dimensions.
